Rose Grenfell

Support was given through advice, developing research and presentation skills with the project group ‘Windrush Strikes Back’  to develop this work on Rose Grenfell, for which we are most grateful.

This work provides an introduction to the life of the black, female missionary, Rose Grenfell and her contribution to the missionary work in the Congo. It is a story of passion for missionary work, love, heartache and one of great strength. Officially, as a missionary’s wife Rose did nothing; indirectly Rose did a great deal working for peace, and she gained a reputation as a peace maker.

Postcards, display panels, a calendar and a short video ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCgRPNRaBLY)   have been produced
